About the Center

The NorcalMLK Social Justice Center and Gallery is designed to highlight, to celebrate, and to imagine the past, present, and future achievements and work in underscoring the urgency of realizing human & civil rights of all peoples.

The center is designed to be a fully digital museum providing tactile and immersive experiences in past and present campaigns for human and civil rights throughout the nation and the world. The MLK Social Justice Center & Gallery envisions locating in San Francisco’s cultural center, Yerba Buena Gardens, where the Martin Luther King, Jr. Waterfall serves as the crown jewel.

The goal of the Social Justice Center is to be the signature destination center, gallery, and gathering place designed to highlight, to celebrate, and to imagine the past, present, and future achievements and work in underscoring the urgency of realizing human & civil rights of all peoples.
