NorcalMLK Foundation Leaders to Speak at 2024 PIT-UN Summit

The NorcalMLK Foundation's executive director, Aaron Grizzell, and SIDGE Center co-founder, Dr. Dwight Hopkins, Laura Spelman Rockefeller Professor at the University of Chicago, will be featured participants at the 2024 Public Interest Technology University Network (PIT-UN) Summit.

The event takes place on November 7-8 at San José State University.

The PIT-UN Summit is the premier gathering for public interest technologists from academia, government, civil society, and industry, focusing this year on the theme “Transformation: Leveraging Technology for Workforce Development and Social Impact.” Attendees include leaders from 70% of the nation’s top tech schools, four international members, students, artists, scholars, technologists, and activists dedicated to using technology for positive change.

Aaron Grizzell will deliver insights on ethics and artificial intelligence, community development, civic society, and social justice, drawing from his extensive experience in fostering equitable technological advancements. Dr. Dwight Hopkins will share his expertise on integrating technology with social initiatives, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary approaches to address complex societal challenges.
