The NorcalMLK Foundation is proud to be in an inspiring partnership with Noontime Concerts (NTC), for the second Martin Luther King, Jr. Noontime Concert.
The concert launches the MLK Celebration Week, with a compelling music-filled noontime dedicated to honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Famed pianist Carl Blake will be the program director.
This partnership combines the NorcalMLK Foundation's mission of advancing civil and human rights with NTC's commitment to making high-quality classical music accessible to all. Through this concert, we will harness the emotive and unifying strength of classical music to echo Dr. King's vision of a more just and equitable world.
The series will feature performances by accomplished classical musicians who will use their artistry to evoke themes of peace, unity, and the ongoing pursuit of social progress. This midday concert will be easily accessible to the public, echoing Dr. King's message of inclusivity.
Our joint effort seeks to create a space where the community can gather, reflect, and be inspired by the timeless ideals championed by Dr. King. The partnership underscores the belief that art and culture are potent catalysts for positive change, serving as a fitting tribute to his enduring legacy.
The 2025 MLK Noontime Concert will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 12:30pm, at the historic Old St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco, NTC's primary performance location. Both performances will livestreamed for access to the global audience. Stay tuned for the announcement of the special guest performers.
Noontime Concerts is a 501(c)(3) charitable educational institution dedicated to providing an accessible means for the public to experience, enjoy, learn about, and appreciate the presentation of high-quality classical music performances for free through a program structure that supports promising local and international artists.
