At the heart of this event lies the presentation of the esteemed Honorable Willie B. Kennedy Civic Service Award. This award recognizes exceptional individuals who have dedicated their lives to the service of their communities, embodying the values and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.The 2024 Willie B Kennedy Awardee is The Honorable Willie L. Brown, Jr., the 41 Mayor of San Francisco and the 58th Speaker of the California State Assembly.

Dr. Marc Handley Andrus, Ph.D., bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of California.
