Each year the Foundation partners with local and regional transportation agencies to provide commemorative transportation to and from the celebration events.

The NorcalMLK Foundation's MLK Transportation Program, in collaboration with Bay Area transit systems including Caltrain, BART SFMTA, and Golden Gate Ferries, is a vital initiative that removes barriers to participation in our MLK Celebration events. On the federal holiday commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., this program provides thousands of individuals and families across the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California region with a remarkable opportunity to attend our events free of transit fare charges.

This program not only promotes accessibility but also embodies Dr. King's vision of inclusivity and unity. By facilitating easy and cost-free transportation, it ensures that people from diverse backgrounds can come together to honor his legacy. It encourages community engagement, fosters connections, and underscores the principle that the pursuit of civil rights and social justice should be accessible to all.

The MLK Transportation Program is a testament to our commitment to breaking down barriers and fostering a more inclusive society, where everyone has the opportunity to participate in the celebration of Dr. King's enduring message of peace, equality, and justice.
