The King & Faith Interreligious Symposium brings together scholars and the general public in interreligious discussions on themes of justice in varied religious traditions.
The King & Faith Symposium Screening, "The Other America," delivered April 14, 1967, at Stanford. A 16-foot-wide movie screen will be constructed on the dais of the Stanford Memorial Church to create a vibrant rendering of this historic film.
After the screening, Philip Taubman, ’70, will join Professor Lerone Martin on stage for a short discussion about Dr. King’s visit. Mr. Taubman, an undergraduate at the time, accompanied King to and from the airport, later documenting their conversations in the Stanford Daily.
This event will be recorded with videography and photography for official use only on Stanford websites and similar university materials.
