BCAF is happy to partner with Comic-Con International to host its Animation panel at WonderCon 2022 in Anaheim, California, on April 1.
BCAF will host the panel Animation and Diversity in the Age of Black Lives Matter. NorcalMLK's Aaron Grizzell will moderate this panel, featuring Tracy Curry a.k.a The D.O.C. (NWA), Darius Gainer (Black Representation in the World of Comics, San Diego: Amatl Comics), Angelique Roché (Marvel Voices; My Super Hero is Black, Marvel and Simon and Schuster/Gallery Books), John Semper (invited) (Spider-Man: The Animated Series, Fox Kids Network), Deborah Anderson (Family Guy; The Cleveland Show; Batman: The Brave and The Bold; Scooby-Doo; The LeBrons); and Sean Brown (PECAN Studios). The panel will highlight BIPOC personalities who will discuss their careers in animation, the way the industry has changed, what continues to hamper the industry’s inclusion of more diverse voices, and new projects on the horizon featuring creative talent in storytelling and animation.
WonderCon 2022 represents the seventh panel partnership with Comic-Con Internation, hosts of the San Diego Comic-Con, the largest popular culture event in the U.S.
