2023 King & Faith Symposium

The King & Faith Interreligious Symposium brings together scholars and the general public in interreligious discussions on themes of justice in varied religious traditions.

Dr. Tracey E. Hucks, Victor S. Thomas Professor of Africana Religious Studies at Harvard Divinity School and Suzanne Young Murray Professor at Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, delivers the keynote address, with respondents Dr. Raymond Carr, Director of the “Codex Charles H. Long Papers Project” at the Moses Mesoamerican Archive and Research Project at Harvard University and Visiting Professor of Systematic Theology at Harvard Divinity School, Dr. Julius Bailey, The Eugene Farlough Chair in African American Christianity at San Francisco Theological Seminary and the Graduate School of Theology at University of Redlands, and NorcalMLK Executive Director Aaron Grizzell. The symposium will be moderated by Rev. Dr. Sakena Young-Scaggs, Senior Associate Dean of Religious and Spiritual Life at Stanford University and Pastor of Stanford Memorial Church.

The symposium is a partnership between the NorcalMLK Foundation, Stanford University's Office of Religious & Spiritual Life, the Center for Islamic Studies at the Graduate Theological Union, and the Church for the Fellowship of All Peoples in San Francisco.
